Fresh 48 | Hunterdon Medical Center NJ

This sweet baby girl was so wonderful to capture at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, New Jersey for the family’s fresh 48 photo session.  The best thing to capture are those first few days within birth.  The first few days are such a whirlwind of information and sleeplessness as the family acclimates to adding a joyful new baby to their lives.

The rawness of these sessions is amazing.  There are so many emotions that are captured during a fresh 48 session.  I am so happy to be able t deliver these moments to my clients.  They will have these images to look back on for years to come.  The images reflect such tenderness, excitement, tiredness and love as the parents acclimate to their newborn.

Because of the nature of these sessions I am only able to book 3 per month.  You may schedule these sessions up to 4 months in advance.  While you are on the way to the hospital you or a close family member may contact me via phone, text or email.  In such a stressful time, let me come and capture all the important and beautiful new moments with your newborn baby.

Laughlin Family Session

The Laughlin family session was so much fun.  Even though it was super hot, we still had a great time and got some wonderful images.

Early in the summer, my family moved from the Gulf Coast of Mississippi to the East Coast of New Jersey.  Throughout my journey, I was blessed enough to stop and visit friends.  Teal and I have known each other for over 30 years....weird right?!?!  I was excited to stop and have the opportunity to visit with her and her family in Greensboro.  Of course I couldn't resist the opportunity to have session with them!  So we trekked off to the local Botanical Garden on what felt like the hottest day ever.  It was so worth it tho.  I captured some amazing moments between the Laughlin Family.

One of the things I love most about photographing families is snapping my shutter during those real life moments.  A sweet kiss being exchanged, an embrace, movement and even silly faces.  Actually, when I'm shooting during my sessions, I always have my families make a silly face.  It tends to lighten the mood and get rid of nervousness for those who do not really care to be photographed.  There are also a few other tricks I like to bring out to get emotive/emotional images for my galleries.   To schedule your family session contact me!  I also love to help out with wardrobe styling and picking out the perfect place to capture your family.

Kristins Maternity Photos

Kristin's maternity photos are amazing. In studio maternity sessions are so much fun!  When I found out Kristin was expecting her second baby, I knew I wanted to capture these moments for her.  Right before I moved from the Gulf Coast to Milford, NJ, I reached out to her and she came to the studio.  It was exciting and a great session.  I even had my daughter there to help with the gown tossing.  Amelia tends to help me out and she really loves to do so.  She is a great gown tosser and she always seems very interested in pregnancy; maybe she will be an OBGYN or a Midwife when she is older.

I was so excited when Kristin came over to have images taken of her baby bump.  I first met Kristin when we were both pregnant with our sons back in 2013.  She had just moved to the area and I was expecting my second baby and we hit it off right away.  Our sons were born exactly 2 months apart to the day.  For the longest time, when they were little they even kind of resembled each other.  It was really cute.

I loved being able to capture these moments for her.  Crazy to think that our sons are both 3!  Time really flies.  She looks amazingly gorgeous pregnant!  Kristin maternity photos show just how much of a variety we can get in studio. And I absolutely adore my maternity gowns from Chelsea Celeste Gowns.  I love how dramatic the black and white images look.  She had her baby, a boy, they named him Samson and he is adorable and fully of squish!!

Baby Bellies, Maternity Photos

Baby bellies are the most beautiful thing ever.  If there is something that you can do for yourself during pregnancy, get that bump photographed.  I know, I know, we get pregnant and big and uncomfortable; and at the end we can't wait to "have that baby".  Once you have your sweet bundle in your arms you might miss that baby belly! ....maybe....maybe not.  I know after all 3 of my babies I eventually missed rubbing my baby belly.  I missed feeling all those kicks and hiccups.  It was a miracle to watch how my body carried each child differently and how my body just did what it had to do.  I adore photographing maternity.  It is such a special time for women.  I think of it as a time to celebrate the magic of life and really love to capture all angles of pregnancy whether in studio or out. I have plenty of dresses to choose from in our maternity dress closet.  Clients can also bring along a maternity gown they own if preferred.  I have even had clients take an old bridal dress and cut a slit up the middle.  Clients don't have to do nude/boudoir maternity, I photograph lots of clients wearing regular clothing with their significant others and their children. You may choose to show off your baby bellies or cover them tastefully.

Being flexible and making my clients feel comfortable are extremely important to me.  If you have an idea and want me to capture your baby belly, please contact me.  I love to capture baby bellies!  All sessions are discussed prior and we put together exactly what you are looking for in your maternity photo shoot.  Some models choose to do boudoir maternity whereas other models prefer to use both gowns and a wardrobe.  It is absolutely fine to do a little of both as well.

There is also the option to have your session inside the studio, outside at a location or both.  We will come up with the perfect stylized session for you together.

Lind Girls Beach Shoot

The Lind Girls beach shoot was a blast.  One of my favorite things to witness is how each child views the world around them.  It is amazing to see how wonderful and everything is as it is first experienced.  Photographing the Lind girls was so much fun.  We went to the beach in ocean springs, ms before I moved to Milford, NJ and just let them run.  These girls were adorable.  Their curly hair and facial expressions made each photo magic.  I had so much photographing them and their parents were seriously super cool!  Children are seriously the best to photograph.  It is always fun to be on your toes during a session.  Small children keep you busy at a photoshoot.  They run around a lot and explore.  A lot of wonderful magic happens and children experience life at their level. Photos at the beach are also really great!
